During your stay in Fez, there are plenty of things to see outside the city, such as 2D/1N-visit Erg chebbi sand dunes.
It’s true that it’s a bit long to get there, but you’ll never regret it; especially if you are limited in time. 2D/1N-visit Erg chebbi sand dunes, departing from Fes, makes you revive pleasant moments and makes you complet your discovery of Morocco.
Day 1: Fes-Midelt-Errachidia-Erfoud-Merzouga
Departure from your hotel, and then heading south through the town Ifrane (Morocco Switzerland); known for heavy snowfall during the winter months. From here the road will lead us a little higher, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains; where we will see some wild monkeys living here locally.
Passing through Midelt (Apple town), and reach Errachidia with its impressive valley of palm grooves. A few kilometres from Errachidia, we will observe the first sand dunes, along the road to Erfoud (city known the dates harvest in October).
Another 25 kilometres will take us to the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you will be welcomed by the Berbers with a welcome tea. It is recommended to be there as soon as possible, to attend the memorable sunset.
A camel ride would be at your disposal, to take you to the camp. This is the most spectacular moment of the day; enjoying the silence of the desert, and a traditional meal under the starry sky; while the Berbers playing on their drums; overnight stay under nomadic tent.
Day 2: Merzouga-Fes
An early wake-up is recommended if you want to watch the sun rise on one of the highest sand dunes. Have breakfast, and then ride camels to reach your car. A shower is highly possible, before leaving the desert and back to Fès.

• Jean for Camel ride(shorts & skirts are not recommended, as the camel saddles are itchy and it can cause skin irritation.
• Camera-phone charger.
• Warm cloths in winter months
