Day 1: Fez-Ouezzane-Chefchaouen
Fez to Chefchaouen Day trip, ideally starts around 8:00 am from your Hotel or Riad. After pick up you will be driving and crossing numerous small villages lying in the middle of huge fields of crops; with olive and orange farms. On the way, you might break at the city “Ouezzane”, rest and have a cup of tea of coffee. Afterwards, continue straight to chefchaouen, check-in at the hotel and explore the city by yourself.
Chefchaouen:
The city “CHEFCHAOUEN” located in Northwest Morocco, as it is the chief town of the province of the same name. It is noted for its buildings in shades of blue whick makes it very unique; Chefchaouen is situated in the Rif Mountains, just inland from Tangier and Tetouan. The city was founded in 1471 as a small fortress which still exists to this day.CHAOUEN as it is often called by Moroccans, became a popular tourist destination because of its proximity to Tangier and the Spanish enclave of Ceuta.
The name refers to the shape of the mountains tops above the town that look like the two horns (Chaoua) of a goat. Its name derives from the Berber word for horns: Ichawen. One distinction possessed by Chefchaouen is its blue-rinsed houses and buildings.
Day 2: Chefchaouen-Volubilis-Meknes-Fes
After breakfast, you will leave Chefchaouen straight to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, where you will be guided in order to explore the history of this archaeological site.
