After a memorable stay at a Sahara Desert camp, you’ll travel through the Rose Valley, Ouarzazate (the Movie City), and Ait Benhaddou (a UNESCO World Heritage site). Finally, you’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains and arrive in the vibrant city of Marrakech.

Day 1: Casablanca to Fès
Arrival and greeting at Casablanca airport, transfer immediately to Rabat (the current capital of Morocco).
Depending on your arrival time; possible to visit some highlights in Rabat such as: Hassan Tower (the unfinished minaret); the Mausoleum Mohamed V; the Mausoleum Hassan II, and Kasbah Oudaya.
From here, straight to Meknes (Versailles of Morocco). Afterwards, we continue our drive to the Roman ruins of Volubilis (guided visit included). Late afternoon, getting to Fez, overnight in a nice Riad located inside the old city.
Day 2: Fes-guided city Tour
Today will be dedicated to discovering the Mellenium city of Fes. Once you meet with your local guide, you will begin your journey by seeing the Royal palace and jewish quarter. Next after is the fascinating panoramic view overlooking Fes old town (Fès el Bali). Afterward, you will see the brilliant cobalt-blue pottery that has been made in Fès since the 11th century; Craftsmen still making it by hand in workshops, turning pots on a traditional potter’s wheel, as has been the practice for centuries. As you wander around the city, your guide will leads you on a walk and dive into the medina, in order to discover its hidden secrets.
Day 3: Fes to Merzouga
Today we will be heading South, to the desert. On the way to Merzouga, we pass through the city of Ifrane which has one of the coldest climates in Morocco; with regular heavy snowfall making its slopes a magnet for skiers in the winter months; it often called: the Moroccan Switzerland.
Next we cross the Azrou’s huge forest which lies in the Middle Atlas Mountains; known as home for wild monkeys (Macaques). Arrive to the city of Midelt (Apple town), where we pause for a break and have lunch. Afternoon, we drive straight to the sand dunes, through Errachidia where we join the ziz valley with its Several small Berber villages built overlooking the oasis. This fascinating landscape will leads us until we reach the city of Erfoud (known for the dates harvest; held annually in October; the time for great activity in Erfoud).
From here, we drive straight to Merzouga where you will be greteed by the Berbers. From here, you will start your adventure; on the back of the dromedaries, through the sand dunes and join your camp. This is probably the most spectacular moment of the day; while you are riding your own camel; and watching a memorable sunset. At night , your diner will be served to you outside; under a starry sky; enjoying the silence of the desert; relaxing and stargazing, while the local nomads are playing on their drums.
Overnight stay under nomadic tent; dinner and breakfast including.
NOTE:
One more day is highly recommended for relax; enjoying much time by driving around the sand dunes; seeing the nomads living locally. there is a chance to stop and visit one of them in their tent; settled in the middle of nowhere. From here we continue driving on a rocky and sandy path, until we get to Khamlia where you will be greeted by the Berber musicians (Gnawa, also called the pigeons of the desert). Depending on the rain season; you might see the pink flamingo’s birds in a huge natural lake around the village of Merzouga. Lunch in one of the Berber family’s house (home-stay); and then go to the hotel for a second night.
Day 4: Merzouga-Dades gorges
Early wake up highly recommended, if you like to watch the sunrise on one of the highest sand dunes that surrounding the camp. after having breakfast, and enjoying more time here; your camels will take back to the hotel.
Meet your driver, and depart from here towards the Dadès gorges; passing by the city of Tinghir. 15 km right will take us to the Todra gorges; along the fascinating and amazing Todra valley, with a huge number of Berber villages built on the edge of that oasis.
Once we get to the gorges; a walk is highly recommended to stretch your legs; take some photos while exploring the area with these incredible mountains, with sheer rock faces reaching 300 meters high in places. Have lunch here, and then continue our way to Boumalne Dadès.
We will visit the Dadès gorges, before we take you to your hotel, located in the heart of the gorges
Day 5: Dades gorges-Marrakech
After breakfast, we will be driving along the road (called road of a thousand Kasbahs) towards Marrakech. We will cross Kelaa M’gouna:(where Morocco’s most celebrated Roses used for making rosewater; witch take place every May each year.
Continue our drive, passing by Skoura valley for reaching Ouarzazate : known as the movie’s city. we pause for a break; have lunch, and then exploring the area by visiting the oldest building dating from the 18th century ( Kasbah Taourirt).
From here we will drive North via Ait benhaddou, one of the oldest and finest examples of a fortified city in the world; founded in the 11th century, and declared a world heritage in 1987 by UNESCO.
Ait Ben Haddou becomes an important location for movie; attracting thousands of visitors and large of filmmakers. You might go on a hike by foot, through the village until you reach the upper level; overlooking the Ounila valley.
Late afternoon, drive straight to Marrakech, through the high Atlas Mountains (highest pass of Tichka: 2260m above the sea level); overnight in the Hotel or Riad.
Day 6: Marrakech-guided city tour
9:30 am: Meet your guide, get on the car and begin your Marrakech city tour by seeing the koutoubia Mosque; visiting the Saadian tombs and Bahia palace.
Afterwards, your guide will take you inside the medina to discover its numerous secrets; including its huge maze of Souks; breathtaking imperial architecture; and absorbing the atmosphere at djemaa el Fna one of the world’s largest and busiest squares.
Ends your City tour by visiting the Majorelle Gardens (optional visit); then back to your hotel around 3:00 pm.
Day 7: Marrakech to Casablanca airport
Pick up from your hotel/riad, transfer directly to Casablanca airport according to your flight schedule.
