ITINERARY
Our journey “ROSES VALLEY DAY TRIP FROM OUARZAZATE”, ideally starts with a pick up from your hotel . The journey begins by driving through the road of thousand kasbahs, followed by a stop at Skoura valley where you’ll visit the 17th century (Amridil Kasbah).
Afterwards, you’ll pass the city Kelaa M’gouna where Morocco’s most celebrated Roses, used for making rosewater, grown in huge numbers. Each May, 3000-4000 tons of Roses may be gathered in a single week; When the harvest is over, the town hosts the Roses Moussem festival. There is music, dancing and exhibitions of local crafts, and it lasts 3 days full of sight, joy and entertainment.
From here, our “DAY TRIP TO ROSES VALLEY” will drive you on a winding road along the M’goun River to the village Boutaghrar.
On the way to the next valley, you will see several caves where some of theo Berber nomads live permanently. Here, you might be interested in visiting one of the Berber families, and experience a nomad life while inviting you for a cup of mint tea.
Few kilometers after, you will reach AIT YOUL village, where you’ll be amazed by “DADES VALLEY”. A lush green oasis with its numerous small Berber villages built on the edge.
